Show Goryō – New Edition

Prepare to hear the tragic story of a lady, Yoruichi Feliwara, who lived in the court of the Tokugawa Shōgun. She was banished forever from the palace with the sole company of her beloved cats. Her grudge-filled spirit manifested itself again on the earthly world as a Goryō.

Goryō is a 2-player asymmetrical game of investigation and deduction set in mystical feudal Japan. The Goryō is determined to destroy the palace’s precious treasures; the four Samurai will move between rooms to catch the spirit, in a tight challenge of broken objects, lightning investigations and stealthy routes.

With bigger and more scenic components, a faster setup, the introduction of new tokens, an innovative modular board, a lightened rulebook, and numerous other additions, Goryō rises to a whole new level. This edition is also suitable for color-blind people. You will be as enchanted as the cat spirit in front of a glittering helmet!

Asymmetrical roles and different objectives.

Goryō aims to destroy the Shogun's precious objects. He secretly traverses the board passing through rooms filled with vases, armor, ancient scrolls and more. If he can destroy five objects, he wins the game. The four Samurai, on the other hand, must follow his trail and, to win, capture him three times or locate the one indestructible object to which the spirit cat is bound.

A one-on-one challenge.

Players take turns in tight shifts: the Goryō draws a secret path to break a new object and deceive the opponent, while the other player takes control of the Samurai and uses their actions to understand the Goryō's movements and attempt to intercept him. Over time, you will acquire newer and newer strategies and tactics in the guise of both the Goryō and the Samurai.
